W e moved our IT support services to Advancery in 2019 after receiving below standard support from our existing third party IT support provider, we also wanted a more forward thinking provider to assist us with our continual efforts to future proof our firm.

As a firm of Chartered Accountants the majority of our databases, working paper files and a large amount of client data are held electronically, along with on-premise servers, so moving providers was a daunting task. However, Alex and David quickly putour minds at ease and worked with us at each stage of the migration process to understand our IT infrastructure, existing setup and liaised with our existing provider to transfer as much information as possible.

They developed a project plan for the transfer, which helped manage expectations and ensure the migration steps were not rushed or overlooked. They were keen to understand where our existing IT support was below standard and how they would enhance the service, they also identified some legacy issues created by our previous provider and remedied them. The ability for staff to log support calls and tickets has saved me time overseeing the delivery of support, this function was not something our previous provider entertained.

We purchase our hardware, Antivirus, and Microsoft licenses through Advancery, the prices of which I have found to be competitive. They take care of our software updates and run them out of hours when our offices are closed to ensure minimal disruption to our operations. With out of hours support we can call anytime if we are having issues, which is particularly useful over the weekends. Advancery have also helped with our recent transition to Office 365 which was a daunting task but in the end was rather painless. I have found them to be commercial and pragmatic in their outlook.

The ability for us to lease temporary terminal servers from Advancery when COVID-19 impacted and caused the first lockdown enabled us to remain operational throughout the pandemic to date, showing they are flexible and willing to support our requirements even in times of significant disruption.

Andrew Padgett. Director at Watson Buckle says:

Alex Mordey, Director of Managed Services at Advancery says:
